EMERGENCY CONTRACEPTION:

Emergency Contraception (EC) is available to females anytime we're open. Remember, the sooner you take it, the better. Recent research shows it can be effective for up to five days after you've had unprotected sex, but sooner is always better.

Be aware that it is not as effective as methods that are used before or during sex, and should only be used as an emergency measure. Remember also that it cannot protect you from a sexually transmitted disease. Only condoms can do that.

EC does not affect a pregnancy. It does not cause an abortion, it prevents pregnancy from happening.

For Men:
  • STD testing and treatment (Urine Test)

  • Condoms

Prenatal Care Coordination:

Prenatal Care Coordination is a Medicaid benefit that helps pregnant women get the support and services they need to have a healthy baby.

Prenatal Care Coordination services include:

  • Help getting the health care you need

  • Personal support

  • Information on good eating habits and health practices (health education and nutrition counseling)

  • Information and help finding needed services in your community

STD Testing :

Many people wait until they think they have an STD before they schedule an STD exam. It's not too late to treat an STD, but it is too late to avoid it in the first place. We'll be glad to see you and treat you, but there is a better way.

Think about having an exam done before you have sex with another person. Being able to prove to your partner that you're responsible and serious about your health, and theirs, is a great way to enjoy your sex life without worrying.

If you haven't been tested and don't know your partner that well, then condoms are your only choice for protection against pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
